I offered the advice as Jon has had a RR for approx 1 week rather than the 18 years AmD have and it was offered in good faith as a means to ensure everyone gets looked after.

Jon S refers in his post to 20 yrs experience with RR, so 1 week experience is only limited to his own RR, so your comment is a bit unfair. His RR has a slightly wider setting between the rollers that normal to allow for bigger and more powerful cars(his words), so maybe that's another reason he doesn't strap them down at the back.

Bob, I appreciate that, I was really referring to Spanner having another go just when he feels like it without actually reading things. As I said, different rolling roads sometimes need different set ups. I think I've stated ad nausium that Jon and Courtenay are recommended for VX tuning, and will continue to do so.
