Another thing I should say is I pulled the most bhp and torque at CS when getting my car mapped at stage 3 then any other stage 3. This is what CS told me on the day. Chris uk pulled the second most at stage 3 but only had a 2.5 inch exhaust fitted so Chris is going to get similar results to me.
Yeah, read you pulled 313 on the Courtenay rollers then with the M62, which is bloody huge.
But then the major restriction for blown Ecotec power is the exhaust side and you have that pretty well covered with the 3" Tullett, head porting, blower cams and those 0.5mm oversized valves.
So no doubt you have a very powerfull engine and if you can keep the torque up at high revs. 400 is in reach.
But what we have seen here is that IAT's with the stock mani & coolers (dual pass) go sky high and retard ignition, loosing a lot of power. Keeping those below 50°C is our major goal.

You taken some George pills or something? No one is doubting the software, we just want clarification on on some aspects. I myself could be going down the Dutch route so why think any of us have a hidden agenda? I just don't see any ponit in hitting targets when we don't even know what they're comparable to. It's good to see the gains you make as you calibrate your map. However, taken them with a pinch of salt as there's so many variables to consider. I'd just be happy with a nice smooth map that doesn't put the engine in an inch of its life.Is it obvious people are pissing me off

Get in on a set off rollers and do the Dutch power measurement on the same run, Then all the doubters might give the software a chance Every single run I have done has been shot down from someone, I have never said it was accurate to someone's else RR but it's my measurement and in control of it. I would love to see RR calibration on the day of the run to and also would like to no where the RR sensors are put compared with where they should be put
I think it's the absence of confirmation rather than disbelief in the numbers.
I know Peter has tried to build in a correlation factor with the latest update, however there will always be a slight difference between the numbers the OBD software is putting out verses other forms of measurements due to how it's measured. The other concern is the accuracy of the data entered into the OBD software, getting the rolling circumference wrong or the air pressure wrong will bias the results.
Personally I think the main point of the power tool is for timing adjustment, not for absolute numbers. But then it's also pointless comparing numbers between different runs, different days, different dynos. We have enough issue with variation between results on engine dynos run in controlled environments without factoring in powertrain losses and the effect of different dynos.
My take away message would be 1. If it's important, organise a rolling road where everyone can measure at the same time (perhaps at the National?) 2. the OBD software, just like any dyno, will tell you the ballpark number, and if you have improved things verses the previous measurement.

if you are happy with the mapping then don't be bothered by numbers, which is why I do not care what power my vx has any more, it has plenty enough for me

Funny thing with getting RR'd everyone will jump on the "every RR is different bandwagon" you can't win Chill!
That's why getting a mobile one at the national makes sense.

It'll be wrong, but atleast it'll benchmark a few and then you can normalise what the dutch software is saying too.
FWIW the torque estimation (well generation) software in the Transit and defender was accurate to within 5% and that had even less closed loop feedback than a petrol engined vehicle.

Go pick your toys upIf you all look at my recent vids and stop commenting on my lack of skills behind the wheel and actually look at straight line comparison with the stage 4 turbo with standalone you will see that my power is comparable with the figures I have stated.

I cannot be really bothered if he measures 365 or 395BHP, as both will be a major handfull in a VX.
Just like to see if/how he can sustain those low IAT's....

yeah I was very suprised at the IATs, I was out last week with Harrop & 80mm pulley and peaked in the high 80's
