Is that classed as an "Assist" for the GB if i started the thread but G sorts the GB? If it is......i may have FINALLY given back to .org!! Like Coco, i was after plug and play, so if it comes about, sign me up. JG.....what was the problem you had fitting the black pair you bought when i collected the manifold? Will we run into the same issues here? J

Cornbeaus are shorter than the lotus Msport seats I reckon so no such issues with them?

I tried everywhere last year and nobody had them in stock. Not Demon Tweeks, not Larkspeed, not Elise Shop, not Elise Parts. I even toyed with the idea of a visit to the South Coast to Corbeau and they said they didn't have any in stock when I called.

Or sit in a VXR?

Ah, but what if they're not actually identical? Certainly the two more upmarket versions have much more padding (especially under the thigh - which may be removable like it used to be) than the Standard model, which looks more VXR'alike, by the look of it. I for one am not shelling out £1200+ without knowing exactly what they're like to sit in.

Who ended up with some of the what I think were retrimmed LE Pro's that Hillside/UK Lotus Centre were punting out as real Lotus/VXR seats? Did Joe end up with some?

I found a couple of people with the cheapo bog standard LE-Pro's on SELOC. Don't think anyone was local (to me) and didn't pursue it as I'm not interested in the "standard" version. Definitely worth a try though as there may be more out there now.

I _think_ they were LE Pro carcasses before the Rocky retrim. Given the less than straightforward fit, it sounded like them.

Sorry to be a pain in the arse but can you confirm exactly what version they are? There seems to be at least 3 versions of the carcass (GRP/Kevlar, Kevlar/Carbon fibre and all Carbon fibre) which may or may not relate to the style of padding/upholstery they come with. Those people getting them recovered immediately probably don't care and want the cheapest option for the carcass but some of us (me included) have no immediate plans to recover them and would rather not look too much like a chooner car or moving billboard. I tried to get clarification from Larkspeed who seemed to be the cheapest retailer last year and they had no idea. I've also got a spare pair of standard leather seats with subframes here in room of doom, if you want to mess about with them. Think I've also got another set of subframes on their own as well, if that helps. My wife will be more than happy to be able to navigate around the garage if you do want to keep hold of them for some time. Can deliver in 20 minutes, that's how in the way they are.

Can some enlightened folk tell me what my Hans seats are made off? They creak like hell.

They were carbon fibre in the Cup 260 I had at Silverstone. That was a well spec'd track car though with cage, electric cut off and extinguishers though, so might not have been representative of a road going Cup 260.

£376+vat retail is Kevlar/GRP Afaik Matt all seats, regardless of construction come in the newer upholstery style - though I think the two tone grey with that thing down the middle may be extra cost.

Is the non-fitment issue known or is it a fix when you get it?  Just thinking about buying one seat if ya know what I mean!

It's known but I don't think Corbeau are keen to rectify themselves
