Dutch software has nothing to do with the mechanical state of your engine/head/PCV system...

It seems to as I had no problems when on the CS software for the past 3 years. Only since upgrading to the Dutch software I'm getting oil into my inlet. Would my inlet bolts being slack suck the oil from the head?

I agree with exmantaa the software is not the problem it's more likely to be hardware If you have a lose bolt and the lose bolt has created a opening to the manifold then it is probably your problem. I would reconsider using the Pcv but if you don't want to you need to seal it we'll enough to stop the pressure getting out of the orifice in head

I can't work out why all the inlet bolts have come loose. I'm tempted to run the thing open or bung the hole up with putty that sets like steel as that should stop the oil getting through.

Nope didn't lock tight them but I've never used that on the inlet before and it's been fine as I worry about alloy head and bolts getting stuck.

Yep all threads and bolts are perfect. It's weird that all my bolts were loose and even the 2 big ones in the middle of the inlet. It's almost like I never tightened them up.

The CS map did not support the PCV to be open, so it was shut for 3 years.

With Dutch, you choose weather to use the PCV or not.

The technical consequences of actually using the PVC is another thing, as it's relativily new, so some R&D/trial and error may need to be done to see how it behaves.

I know mine was closed because of CS software. But with it closed its not supposed to chuck oil in my inlet.

I hear you.

I am torn apart between using it as designed, as from the US i hear no complaints from our lsj cousins, and putting in an decent catch tank that can seperate oil and water.

Would there be any problems me filling the opening in the head? Was thinking of filling it with silicone or alloy putty?

alloy putty is probably better, but you need to trim the cam cover gasket so the oil doesn't build up in the channel above it - this is what causes the oil build up in the first place

So when I take the rocker off and gasket vocky will it be self-explanatory with trimming the gasket? All I was going to do is clean the hole up bad then put the metal putty in there.

I had one of these. They are just an empty box so nothing to aid separation. With a little modification they would probably be fine.

I had one fitted but disconnected it as with the additional pipework and the CT as well adding more resistance would just make the situation worse. So I just have a short discharge pipe to just in front of the os rear wheel arch liner.

I see that people are blocking the middle one off but why don't they block the other two off?
