From vocky's gui:

remove the circlip. I asume by pressing together the red arows.

That bendy little arch between the red arrows will not break?

Second:

"you then need to remove the plug from the pump housing, then remove the two fuel pipes, these have spring clips holding the pipes onto the housing, press the upper and lower clips to slide the fuel pipes off"

Where do i press exactly to make the clips release pressure?

Yep, compress the circlip using the two holes and it'll pop out from underneath the lip of the tank. The plastic bit should be fine and it's only there to make sure the pump goes back in the right orientation.

Can't really remember what I did for the Quick Disconnects, think I just squeezed the two tabs that stick out from the main black part of the plug and pulled it off the outlet/inlet. Was very easy but I know some have had problems.

Just as Techie says. Circlip is easy, I had a battle with one of the fuel pipes but they do come off.

At the blue arrows, or the red one?

I think it's the grey bits which want squeezing outside the black housing

It's a PITA

Spot on.

It came off very easily in my case.

Indeed squeeze on the blue plastic ends at the red arrow part, which will then push down blue arrow blue plastic part locking mechanism, unlocking the black part. Then pull the black part back.

Now for the return line, which seems to look different.

Open to suggestions. :)

edit, how to release what is cathing on to the red arrow latch.

The last pic is from vocky's topic.

Any idea what to press/squeeze/impregnate for the return line? (and leave the blue plastic in place)

No squeezing Push blue ring towards black plastic and then move black plastic away and repeat process This is only from memory and might be wrong

Well, the return line is basicly the same principle, just slightly different.

A little blue plastic thingy, that is latching on to the black plastic part.

On the right pic it's easy, just put some pressure on what you can see.

The one at the bottom side is a pit of a handfull

In my case i could force it in by putting a thin piece of metal between the blue and black part; exactly at the point of the red arrow on the left pixie.

Now that i have done both, i can say that if you press EXACTLY on the correct places, both connectors should come off with a brease.

I have no idea if the little blue ring should have been attached to the plastic construction or not.

If it does, i can understand that squeezing it could bring the little plastic latches in, releasing the black connectors.

If your blue ring is loose like mine was, just follow above guide.

pics restored.

After having to do it again after taking the picture, i would have to add that getting access to the pressure point on the blue clip of the return line is easier once the feed line is off, then loosening the complete pump housing, so it can twist a little, making access to the return part easier.

With the pump housing fixed in place it's much harder in that tight spot.

Don't forget to remove both of the clips from the pump and insert then into the fuel fittings ready for refitting.

On the blue one I think the blue ring is the secondary lock, try to see if it clicks in place after fitting or better still play with it while out of the car.

:)
