There were a few.  I think Bargi got pulled up when Pidgeon was driving his but other than that no.

Also there are lots of random shots of my feet, my room and other shizzle. Hot air balloons we saw coming through France on the way home last night.

Whats the all up cost for one of these trips, including fuel, ferry, hotel, grub, track cost etc etc?

Well, it cost £140 car on train from Folkestone, hotel was @ £70per night b&b

Mileage for us was Calais to Zandvoort rtn about 500 miles - add on your home mileage etc

Track mileage no idea. Fuel costs the same approximately. I guess you spend as much as you want based on track. Not sure on trackday cost as I was merely relaxing and socialising.  Food eating out is fairly cheap as is beer.  I took 100 euros for one night essentially and had food out thursday plus booze, lunch next day and an evening meal on the way back in Belgium somewhere.  Bought some other stuff along the way and came back with about 10 euros or something.  It was very hot so a lot went on liquid.

Fabulous long weekend, one seriously quick circuit once you grow balls big enough to push it & took me until the afternoon session to realise how much speed you can carry through some of those corners, particularly the two right handlers after the top of the hill. The 20 minute session with Martin Donelly late in the day also shaved a few seconds off the lap times. Definitely coming back next year👍 & pleased we decided to stay the extra night. I was concerned about noise levels but was ok so the repacking of my back box has worked somewhat, albeit it now seems more noisy than it was before the track day. Really need to get this sorted once & for all.

Sounds like a blast, the track, the food, the drink, the banter, the weather. I wish I had signed up for it, or perhaps come along for the ride.

Maybe next year if I get my mojo back.

Home.

440 miles at 50 mph ain't fun.  The only consolations are that a/ The old dear made it home and B/ did it one tank of gas.

Short driveshaft inner joint failed on circuit.

That notwithstanding, was an epic weekend, thanks all for the drives, company and being so generous with the restaurant bills

I may need to launch a charm offensive upon Ray to get near his car again......

No chance - if your driving made him scream so loud that you were pulled up for noise.

I filmed some of my runs and if any are at all interesting I'll put the link up but to be honest you'd be hard pushed to tell the difference from last year, in the dunes, not a cloud in the sky and making Lotus/ Porsche/ Ferrari drivers feel a bit silly :)
