Hi all
Nice to see such lovely comments about Zandvoort not just for the awesome circuit that it is, but also for "the rest" of it !
A circuit with a bar is pretty amazing, the staff is great and the toilet lady and her 'provisions' are so "Amsterdam" it's funny to me lol
Same with the barstaff at the NH hotel -Elises/VX's can fit UNDER the carpark barrier with some gentle manipulation- which is a wonderful bunch.
Having grown up within cycling distance (20 miles) we would go often in summers and Bloemendaal a bit further down the road is one of my favorite places.....
The circuit is a former F1 circuit and it being in the dunes, it has elevation where the rest of Holland is flat as a pancake
It is quite technical and I love the variety of the turns and even though I have been a few times I have never been bored of it.
This time was a cracking weekend! Lots of familiar faces, some not seen for years and plenty of new friends made
One of the sessions I enjoyed most on the day was with Chris & Foxy, which we only discovered afterwards in the paddock lol
Video is on the thread - was really nice to find that as I'd never really seen myself drive since a little tester with a GoPro years ago
On next year > I was planning to start fluttering eyelids at Paul for a Zandvoort & Zolder combo !
Spa is expensive and more fun to quicker cars, Zolder suits our cars really well and Hasselt is a really nice place to stay (if Pits hotel is full/above budget).
Again, nice to meet you and I already apologize for all the names I have forgotten by next time lol
But not the wonderful people who have understood The Plan and have agreed to help with it in the future
On top of that I'll look forward to seeing some of you at Dijon and Ledenon next week !!
Yeeehaaah Ledenon
Drive safe & see you next time

Morning guys,
Great, see you next week!
Can't wait lol
Oh and you'll just have to pretend the Peril is a VX in disguise I suppose....
And for those who aren't shy about joining the Lotus fold from time to time, consider adding Lotus Festival at Brands (23/23 august 2015) to your calendar.
There will be racing and such things but you don't need to go and watch
We just got back yesterday and I keep remembering things that happened and giggling randomly lol
Have a great day & see you soon!

Hi Julie,
At zandvoort, you asked my son (6yr) if he wanted to sit next to you and go for a little ride on the parking.
Don't take it to personal, he did not want to sit next to you, he is at the age that girls are stupid... I will talk to him when he is older :-)
And the color, he said, pink and purple dad, that's for girls. I did not want to be seen in that car.
To bad, i wanted to take some nice pictures of him in the little purple beauty (with you ofcourse).
Maybe next year at Zandvoort.
It was a wonderful day and great to see al these Speedsters/VX and a few Lotus (minority i believe) :-)

Hi Julie,
Many years ago I met you and Burt on a SELOC blat. We ended up on top of Devils Dyke just outside Brighton, must have been 10 years or more ago. I was driving a yellow M100 Elan (which I still have). When I was at Zandie I didn't realise it was you, it was only afterwards when someone mentioned that you and Burt were there. I will be at Dijon, so I'll say hello there for sure.
Chris
