I'm currently supercharging my na with an lsj kit from a cobalt ss. I've decided to use Dutch Peter's software. He has asked me if I want to run a TMAP sensor on the manifold or a MAP sensor on the manifold with a temperature sensor between the air filter and the supercharger. I know both options require some wiring alterations, I would like to know who has been in this position before and what decision you went for. Thanks

TMAP it. You'll get a true picture of the inlet temps in the inlet manifold that way, rather than effectively the ambient air temps and be able to map it properly to suit.

The IAT+MAP sensor (the standard setup) requires no wiring changes.

Thanks for the reply. Is it much of an undertaking to alter the loom for the TMAP setup??

Read the obd tuner software user guide, it details the adaptions, however the short answer is no.

No, simple, full instructions in the OBDTuner manual but basically consists of getting a compatible 4-pin plug for the 2.5bar (or 3bar) TMAP sensor and wiring that into the existing MAP sensor loom (in place of the original plug) and then connecting the temperature wire from the old IAT sensor into the new TMAP plug to supply the temperature reading back to the ECU on the usual wire and the ground from the original IAT sensor into the ground on the new plug.

I started of with a map sensor then changed to T map as you said both require extending the wiring It's only a drop box to change it in the software. Peter will be asking for your base map

Did you notice any difference going to the TMAP setup? Is it just a matter of extending some cables?

Only with TMAP you get the  true speed density mode with Dutch software!   go only with TMAP!!
