Hi I have just got a 2004 vx220 turbo.  I got it in Stockton.  The  only problem with the car is the headlamps are missing.  the car started with a jump and drove back to the workshop (aprox 15 miles) with no problems at all.  The car is Met Blue and has  special coloured wheels and a brake up-grade.  I have not had a chance to have a good look over it yet but on Monday I will give it a good once over.  There was a sticker inside the boot for www.eastayreshirecc.co.uk so I hope I can get in touch with the last owner and find out a little more about the car.  The Reg is HD04 KRV, if any members know anything about the car or the last owner I would be very grateful. I also need a pair of headlamp if anyone can help!!!Thanks Edd

Post up the last 4 digits from the door sticker. W0L.......nnnn. May be some info on here.

 

Of all the bits you could be missing, headlights are the worst. They cost a bomb new from Vauxhall.

Put an ad in car parts wanted or contact ElizP987 (she breaks vx's).

Hi Edd congrats on your purchase hope you have some penny's left as those lights aren't cheap. Check out the replacement headlamp thread for possible alternatives to oem. Where you based?

Hi, welcome! Is it http://www.eastayrshirecc.co.uk/ ? A bunch of the Scottish guys are members there to get use of the track. The car doesn't ring any bells from the description though. Are the headlights just missing or does the car have front end damage? Have they been forcefully removed? Good luck in finding a set, I hope you get some soon so you can enjoy the car over the summer!

Wasn't a guy in Scotland posted months back that he woke up an sombody stole his lights??? Maybe it's that car , was it a cat d, c Vxt ?

Hi Thanks for all of the replies.  The car is HPI clear I checked before I got it.  There is no damage on the car at all, just the headlamps have been removed.  We went to collect the car so the car we went in drove in front all the way home and we did have trade plates on.  I will get the digits off the sticker on Monday as it is locked away in the workshop. How did you manage to buy a Vxt with no headlights??? I haven seen it advertised . Headlights are like gold dust , an be prepared to pay top dollor.
