We made a new tool for edge smoothing. Now the painted lenses look like this (picture below). Unpainted lenses will remain available.

This do the job for bonding back together?   http://www.ebay.co.u...=item3367d8b10d

Use butyl tape, unless you want the plastic to crack.

Tom can you talk me through this? Why will it crack? I've bought that kit but not used it. Tried to get butl tape from the supplier you sent me but he could no longer get it. I'm not really sure what it is to be honest.

We have been using glass bonding adhesive for several years and had no problems with cracking. I would say it's more dependant on the paint that you use for the surrounding edge.

Why would it crack either way? Are we talking about some kind of reaction that makes the plastic brittle? I had a crack on the edge of my previous one using pu adhesive but put that down to the way the bodyshop clamped it.

What is the cost for a finished set?

Prices stay up the same. £80 for unpainted and £100 for a painted (finished) set.

Received mine and it's a quality finished product. Just need to summon up the courage to bake my rear light now...

The lenses will not be available for sale for a few weeks. Despite that you are still welcome to place your order by writing a PM.

Just wanted to say I have a set of these rear lenses, cut to size and painted. I'm yet to offer them up to my existing rear lights, to check for size/fitment etc, but happy to confirm they look and feel good and are well worth the money IMO.

Nice to have mint lenses rather than crazed like my old ones (and with Fezz' new fronts it'll hopefully look like I've got brand new lights front and rear).
