was strange damage pattern yeah!, the rad housing appears to of absorbed the majority of damage, the crashbox is fine! ( alot of use that was! ) so hopefully once the new housing arrives (from germany as none in uk stock?? ) its all getting put back together and ill be away and enjoying the summer.... or has that gone already?

lucky if there is a spare part as its a common bit to get damaged , so not many second hand. To find a new one with a short lead time is rare , but hopefully means your project can get finished quickly. You might want to start a project thread to document the rebuild , will help if you decide to sell later that its all been done with proper parts.

If you try and use the tow eye it will rip the new clam off, the crashbox upper structure has failed

I was thinking this, but I didn't want to be the one to chime in as the negative one again. Especially as so many people have said everything looks good.
You can clearly see where the crash box is damaged at the front top right. Unfortunately It needs replacing

Happy for any one to comment good or bad, negative or positive! the crash box part damaged for the TOWEYE is for TOWING and will be strengthened as required by my guy he knows what hes doing, safety wise its been mechanically inspected by a very well known company that ensure there is no damage to the chassis or impact crumple zone of the crashbox and will perform as new and as required if in a impact again, so im happy to have the TOWEYE part repaired and strengthened. Got lots of pics that ill get up on here once completed and gleaming :-) New rad housing has been ordered from germany as none available anywhere here!! not happy gotta wait another 10 days for progress.
Question though are uploads of many pictures on here only for premium members?? ive tried to put some up on this thread and it says i only have 3kb left of file available to upload??

Another VX brought back from the brink, good on yer son! I love the comical bannana shaped radiator.
Love a good challenge! could patent that design as a space saving option??
