Harnesses are horrendous for anything other than track work. You might even argue that they're dangerous because you can't lean forward to get a good view of the traffic.

This x1,000,000

Also people run on the road with them slack because of this which defeats the point of them.

Look awesome.  The only thing that could improve them would be if they were in my car!

Even if I lived at home with my mummy I still couldn't afford the plethora of trinkets bestowed on that car!

Harnesses are horrendous for anything other than track work. You might even argue that they're dangerous because you can't lean forward to get a good view of the traffic.   When on the road, I used to push mine back through the holes and secure them behind the seat. I left the normal seat belts in the car and used those.   Seats look fantastic though  thumbsup

I find you can't duck under Armco with a full harness on

I never run on the road slack, also I have learned to position the car carefully to see all traffic at junctions. If in doubt, wait and check again, ask your passenger to help. I think my injuries would have been much worse without harnesses in my smash.

Gordon's bump is a little special and granted he ducked but if the seatbelts had tensed up and he could still move then they were not working properly.

Perhaps its down to personal preference, I feel much safer in harnesses.

I'm looking at pictures on Nobles on google, and they all seem to come with road seatbelts.

Yeah, that's my point. It comes with seatbelts for road use and harnesses for track use. It does this because harnesses are dangerous for road use, especially in our cars where visibility isn't exactly great. This is also how I do it, there's room to accommodate both types.

If you can put your seatbelts back in, then you'd be okay to use them on the road and harnesses for the track. Although considering you don't track yours, it'd make the harnesses redundant.

Obviously it's your choice, I was just giving a bit of advise as I've tried what you're doing for a few days before I switched back to using the seatbelts. I even had a remote control so I could operate the stereo because you can't reach the dashboard when you're all strapped in :)
