Thats one of the most impressive mods I have seen for some time.
You are clearly considerably cleverer than me!
Nice work - thats a very tasteful upgrade!

What are the screws/washers you have used to keep the dash plates on? i'm sick of double sided sticky tape and this looks a great way aroud that.

Use heavy duty velcro like most of the rest of us do.

Standard shaped dashes are a piece of p*ss to cover the only slightly tricky bit is the start button as it is sunk in quite some way. Having covered my dash quite a few times now I find it to be rather a satisfying job to do. I just used a bit of instant grab spray glue and a staple gun to pull the fabric taught. Go right over the vent holes at first and then cut an X shape in them and the plastic surround will clamp them down into shape. How easy was the dash to cover? Fancy giving mine a go over the winter. How did you go about it?

They look to be red anodised flared / countersunk washers with a standard allen head bolt in them. Something like this. What are the screws/washers you have used to keep the dash plates on? i'm sick of double sided sticky tape and this looks a great way aroud that.
