Hold on. Are you saying you can't connect to the ECU when you could before? That would point to the ECU being at least partially fcuked. Have you spoken to Peter?

Yup, which is why i'm questioning if it's an issue with the ECU

Try these drivers if you have the elm 327 as the drivers you have don't look like the right ones http://www.totalcard...d-obd2-software

Get an old win xp netbook. I have never had an issue and no driver required as the cable Just auto installed.

Thats what I originally did (samsung n150 £40 on ebay)as I didnt want my 19" superdupa laptop banging around the garage ..but could not get that to work either

however the good news is ....... I finally got connected WOOOHOOO!!!

had to completely uninstall ALL usb devices, host controllers everything! and start again , that time it worked

had the following error codes (which did not show up on my cheap ebay reader)

P1120

P1516

P1523

P1220

cleared them and she even fired up (or at least tried to) but then there was no more electricity (been trying a fair bit today) so shes on charge and I will try again later.

fingers crossed thats solved it but no counting chickens until the old bird sings (to mix a metaphor)

thank you everyone.

gotta love the .org community
