If you are talking about the Tiv, I'd see how the TVR owners are getting on with them before deciding one way or another based on this site.

I know there's been problems with Nitron 46's for the Tiv been too firm. It's a bit of a mind field tbh as Tvr owners don't seem as technical

That' my car^^. They were about a year old at this point, give or take a couple of months. It does get driven in all weather conditions as it's my only car hence the dirt. I'd just like to say gaz did sort out the broken one with no hassle so can't knock their customer service. I'm not sure we can blame on the shocks though as the roads are so sh*t that I think with such a rigid ride, somethings going to give, recently had my inertia switch go off after hitting a pot hole, the roads are just that bad! Also for the record they were bought new from gaz and were suitably shiny when they arrived so didn't seem like a rebuild set, though I'm no expert.

I would be interested in the details of the metallurgical evaluation being carried out.

Resurrecting this because the story seems incomplete after 8 months being ignored. I'm looking at buying a 2nd hand pair of GGP2's that have been back after the recall. I knew a recall had taken place and naturally felt that these should now be a quality product. My question is though, what did Gaz actually do to them? Did they just replace any broken blue parts with black ones that were of identical material? Did they actually get to the root cause of this problem or is there still cause for concern? What was the result of the metallurgical investigation they did? Seems most people are happy with the 'level of service' they're getting but I'd like to know the manufacturer has some intelligence and expertise in the product they're designing/manufacturing. Hopefully Gazman is reading. Can you share a report with us that could put our minds at ease and close this issue out once and for all? Thanks

The new version are heavy and longer compared with original blue ones As for them lasting longer ?? Mine have already been back to Gaz under warranty Less than 1 year and less than 1800 miles They have not told what was wrong which has not filled me with confidence but have changed/sorted the knobs which seized and clicks were crap The shocks didn't leak but they went soft could of been linked to the knobs
