Trying to catch Turbotoaster. I got stuck in traffic near the end then once I'd gotten a little closer again he went for an in lap.

Trying to stay away from Dave and then trying to stay behind him and failing. Lots of flames though.

It was really interesting driving daves turbo. Quick as hell, but with the turbo winding up, dump valves, 6 speed gearbox it took me a bit of learning and compared with that sort of elastic feel power the turbos have,  the sc is so much easier to drive. Makes me realise just how quick a driver dave is and once he got used to mine (about 5 seconds) he was so smooth and properly quick, made me glad he had a turbo!

Its funny how few people come past the vx's and how many we go by.

 

Had fun with Chill on track, probably best session of the day.

Once again Martin's being overly generous, but I'll take it it's easy looking smooth when your not trying to ring its neck. While a tuned turbo power delivery may take longer to get used too, I've no doubt that given a little time you'd be every bit as quick as me in it, it's a case of being able to anticipate the weight shift when your on/ off the power, it's just a different driving style.

this is my first lap in the morning where I made loads of mistakes, didnt know about the yellow and red cones and being thr first lap I didnt push the cornering speeds. Please bear in mind this is the second track day ive ever done and the last one was a decade ago in the rain at Donnington in a Renault 5 turbo. If i wasnt having issues then it would have been alot quicker. My first lap was a 2.13
