Heaviest but probably the strongest

I'd be interested to see that quantified. Have they been strength tested against the alternatives?

Heaviest but probably the strongest

What benefit is that? Not like the VX is a heavy car and needs strong wheels? On the TVR maybe, as their wheels seem to be made of cheese

Exactly! Good job I've got different wheels on the TVR :P

It's a good job they are because you're sh!t out of luck if you need to get a replacement wheel. Same with the OZ's.

The main reason I havent bought the set in the classifieds and am swaying towards the td's

A friend of mine was well regarded in the industry, albeit 20 years ago, but could never afford multiple cars. I'd love to know your secret.

Yes well it does help living with "Mummy" has someone got out of the bed the wrong side this morning? Does it really matter what my finances are, at the end of the day. I work hard and I like to see something for it

I never asked about your finances, I asked about your secret. Don't get so sniffy.

There is no secret. I work hard, live with my "mummy" and don't go spending my money on booze every weekend (not that there's anything wrong with that it's what ever makes you happy, I just prefer to spend mine on cars) like I said there's a number of people on this forum that have a collection of nice cars

Tell the truth......Women, generally, spend a fortune 'having their hair done', being in the trade you get yours done for free and so can blow (excuse the pun) more money than most on cars. Exactly the same reason my mrs has more handbags and shoes than a male would think possible

Depending in tyre choice you can undo expensive lightweight wheels weight saving very easy.

Yeah this ^^

The chances are you're going to be picking the same tyres to go on heavier wheels as well. You're unlikely to buy R888 to fit on a set Speedlines but buy A048's just because you've got OZ's. You're going to buy the same tyres in the same sizes whichever wheels you've got. So whatever differences there are (in reality) will be maintained.

Ats dtc are 5.5kg for the front and 8.8kg for the rears which equals 14.3 kg. the TD are 7.3 kg front and 7.9 kg rear which equals 15.2 kg. The OZ Turismo are 7.5 kg front and 8.4 rear which equals 15.9 kg. front speed line is 10.7kg and rear is 11.1kg which equals 21.8 kg.
