Went to start the car tonight (hadn't been used in a few weeks) and it started ok, no issues, but the fan was on. Switched off, started again and it was still on - engine obviously cold. Fan went off as soon as ignition turned off. I thought I read something on here about this issue a few weeks/month ago, but can't find on the search :( No eml, no fault codes. Went out for a run, put some fuel in and when re-started(engine warm), the fan was off. Went for a blast and fan stayed firmly off. Thoughts? Cheers thumbsup

Not too bothered about it tbh, but it's odd that it just started, and then doesn't happen all the time.

It also messes with your fuel trims In my case it was using 25% more fuel

Not just that it could affect you fan working and kicking in when it should so would be easy to boil your engine when your not watching your temp gauge.

Yup, it is seriously drinking fuel. Sounds the same issue as you had, will check and change anyway. Thanks
