A mate of mine owned a company that sold and fitted these doors. He did it as a bit of a side line to make money but in his own estimation they were shite. Also very difficult to live with.

If you want to be different.. Try building some Koenigsegg 'rolling' doors:
Looking at their 'hinge' design that's not a simple task though

They are a total work of engineering art, and you can see 60% of the mechanicals on the inside when its closed too

Hahahaa! :-)
But most people will give your car an extra glance when you part if you have "Lambo Doors". We where a half parkinglot of VX:s in Sweden once and guess who got the attention. The blue one with the doors in the air.

There are many people on this site who have done worse things and done things that will effect there car resale value more negatively (big engine mods, race seat interiors, cut big holes in the bodywork etc etc, because they liked what they did and wanted something different.
If you like them just do it. Its your car.

The most impressive thing was when Christian told me to slam it as hard as I could. It was perfect every time and slowed just at the end no matter how hard I tried to slam it. Very very clever engineering
And not many Koenigsegg owners I know park them up at the side of the road right next to a curb

:-) I have to confess: I`m a sinner! - But I have to say: I like it and what is more: I`d do it again!
I have kind of lambo doors in my car.
