Has anyone got a link for an actual extinguisher that'll fit that'll do a good job? (cheaper the better to be honest, I'm hoping I never use it!)

Or shiney...

Be careful asking questions like this mate...Sutol might deem them 'ridiculous'...apparently as long as they are red they both fit and perform the same...

had a thought, while your getting the car retrimmed you could get your extinguisher done at the same time, then it won't clash with your interior design lol

If you work for a company like mine, you'll find that there are loads of extinguishers just hanging on the walls.  No one ever uses them!

Joking aside I was wondering the same on compatibility of fire extinguisher. Might be a stupid suggestion but given there's 30 of us buying one of these brackets should we be looking at a group buy on fire extinguishers?! Once we've established which one fits...

I did think about one of having one of these, but my car is pretty standard, few extras, so before I get abuse from members, I do realise that some members have spent a fortune on there cars and upgrades, insurance companies tend to give you what they feel is a good price for themselves not their clients, but the thought of seeing a fire in the mirror, stopping, unhooking the extinguisher, getting out, opening the cover and extinguishing the fire in a fibreglass car somewhat worries me, I do have another vauxhall/opel, I do have a extinguisher in this car, plumbed into the engine bay, I know the vx is tight for space, but maybe someone could come up with a plumbing in kit to engine bay?, yes I do realise that other fires occur with cars, its just a suggestion if anyone has thought of doing it

Car hand held fire extinguishers are for the occupants to use to get out of a burning vehicle only. They are not to be confused with extinguishing a fire in the engine bay. When you lift up the bonnet/engine cover the fire will flare up due to a massive rush of fresh air. Caution is advised when doing this as it could flare up in your face and set you on fire.  You would normally have both systems installed in a track day car, a plumbed in system and a hand held.

Would you have time?

Wouldn't you just jump out of the car as soon as you were able?  Or is this if you are trapped etc?

Secondly, is this group buy closed?

Tat bracket with a Mangiofuoco Fire Eater. Unobtrusive, lasts longer than a standard powder extinguisher, and won't rot the aluminium tub if you have to use it (unlike powder, which will).

What fire extinguisher looks/performs the best fitted to this mount? Pictures? Links?
