Just stick a piper vm7000 on. When mines on my car looses 'all' induction noise. Sounds like an electric car which is why its never on.

Yeah, it DEFINITELY did not sound like an electrictric car on Sunday. That thing sounded insanely good flying down the pit straight!

Hi,

we spoke  before lunch (Brake tips), I'm glad you sorted it as nothing more frustrating than not being able to drive while others have fun.

Maybe we'll meet on an other occasion and this time I will be on the track.

Berenger

phew, what a crazy 24 hours, it was almost like this TD was not supposed to happen!

Supposed to drive up Saturday afternoon but when I got to the car the battery was completely dead.

Bought a new one from Eurpoparts but was out all afternoon so could only fit it at 5pm, at which time it was pissing down rain.(I live in London, car lives on street)

Spent hour and a half fitting the new battery only to find I'd pulled the earth strap out from the lug that bolts to the terminal.

It's now 7:30 at night and still raining and I've not got anything to big enough to re-crimp it.

Find a smaller lug that came with a car audio kit, try crimping it with my Halfords special tool, which bends it and buggers up the lug :(

spend another couple hours in the pouring rain trying to fix it but it's now too far gone and I'm losing the will to live.

It's now 9pm so I resort to calling the AA and hope they have a correct tool.

AA- Sorry sir you don't have home start, that'll be £84

sigh, so hand over my CC details and wait.

11pm AA turns up, doesn't have a crimping tool but between pliers, side cutters and vice grips we bodge a fix and the car comes to life!

6am this morning I leave for Donington, arrive, sign on, sighting laps, first session and I notice the car is overfueling and stuttering really soon into the session and down on power.

Pull in and check to see there's water in the charge cooler tank and it's so hot I can barely touch it!

Get the top off and water almost steaming and actual tank is too hot to touch... notice no water being pumped... ready to cry... there is no God!

So spend the morning troubleshoot and fix/bodge it! here

Hurrah, car goes like stink and no stutter!

Big thanks to Patatos brother who spent most of the morning turning the car on and off while testing :D

So strange one with the black flag, I did 2 sessions and both times knowing where they have the sound check I purposely drove the car as hard as I could down the start finish straight to see if the exhaust would trip it.

Tried shifting at different times before, after and at the mic, all fine.

Go out for a 3rd session with Martin and Paul, we're all sitting bumper to bumper gunning it down past the mic with me in front and black flag comes out.

Spoke to the sound marshal and who says they pulled me for induction noise.

I asked if they were sure and if it wasn't the exhaust? Response was def induction, exhaust fine

I had 3 more sessions and drove no differently to previous and all fine.

I've just got a CS cone filter and Harrop (which should be quieter!)

I suspect it's was the VX convoy sucking down too much air :D

Good day in the end, great meeting the other VX owners and potential ones!
