Inspect and fix if required?
I only asked because this seems to have been going on for quite a while. If they had a solution they should surely be able to send replacement kits out so customers are are not having to take their cars off the road for what could be weeks?

I'm a bit worried that if I send them mine they'll not return it to the right setup, which BOT did for me very recently... I'm not paying for that again so soon!

Given the alternative is having one potentially fail, I would say it's a small price to pay.

Awesome. I shall look forward to my letter when I get back form work next week. My rear GGPs were replaced free of charge with GGP2s after the offside rear cracked and emptied the oil down the M5. Fortunately my car's off the road so no big deal removing the shocks.
It does seem like a good opportunity to replace them with something else though.....

Can someone please shed some light on this. First of all, whats the official cause of the recall?
The Gaz recall letter says - "We should emphasise that not all Gaz Gold units are at riskand..."
What does this mean, Gaz Gold 1 or 2 or both, black or blue or both?
I read that someone asked Gaz about his Gold 2 which were delivered in June 2013, and they were fine. So does this mean that anything post/past 2013 is ok?
If i´m not mistaking this is about the time they went from blue to black.
I hope the following answers will clear things up. Especially in the case of those that have bought the shocks secondhand or people that not get contacted through letter because of different circumstances.

I think if the problems were as simple as when they changed colour, they would state that.

Of course, just trying to narrow it down and get a better insight to the problem.

Don't miss it, worst case scenario is one fails suddenly due to sudden total failure( but that won't happen) it's only the damping and will not be catastrophic as the springs will still be fine and the car will still be totally controllable. I drove mine with a shock pissing oil out for a good while, just go for it you will be fine. Then buy the ZerosSpoke to Warren yesterday, explained that i bought the car with them fitted, no problem very helpful. Was considering a track day on Monday but with a passenger may give it a miss...

Ghand, cheers for that...but I'm back with the car now & ive got standard Gaz (yellow body). So good can book Croft...bad no free rebuild...! Insert 'quizzical' face.
Yellow body?!?!?! WTF
Or are ou mistaken and have standard Bilsteins.
