Does anybody know of the parking facilities at the Ghent River Hotel ?..cannot seem to find anything about it in the hotel web site...OK if you are arriving by boat, just moor up outside!

There is a block of street parking right next to the hotel if you look on google maps, and an underground carpark with a ramp that doesn't look too steep (thinking of my front clam here) a few minutes walk away at Vrijdagmarkt.

Looks like theres not enough parking for tow car and trailer...so that's me out. However, hotel looks OK and is in a good postion for some cultural indulgence...perhaps another time.

I'm now moving to Lux next month and will be living just over an hours drive from Spa My plans were to possibly join you in Ghent but based on my move, me and my mini posse will meet you guys at Stavelot on the 26th.

There's a big carpark across from the hotel on the property of the track. Plenty of room, no excuse!

I think he meant Ghent on the way back. He's already booked into the hotel near the track.

Ahh ok, yeah you'll def have a tough time getting a car trailer around there.

Doing a bit of a touring holiday, around Germany, with the car and trailer, before going to Spa, so probably  not meeting up with you guys in Ghent on the way out.

Looks like my youngest son wants to come on the 'Tour' before Spa, so that means taking the tow car and trailer...Now, I'm sure that the VX would appreciate, a stress free holiday on top of the trailer. However for the ret of us it would be like two a caravan around for a week and not stopping to camp/use it.

 

So....thinking...could vist Spa and stay overnight at the the Hotel Del La Source and see If we could leave VX and trailer in their underground car park for a week (payment would be required of course...but I don't want to leave the 'percious' out in the open, next to a race track!), or are there any VX freindly members in the area who would be willing to rent out a part of their secure driveway, for a week...long shot but worth a try.

I've booked no crossings yet, but looks like I'm: Out on 26/07 Back on 29/07 Will book Eurotunnel I would assume, but would like to travel on same crossings as others, so look forward to hearing of bookings.
