Why is it that fun cars are always little sh1t boxes :)

-When my mp3 player is running through the aux and being charged, I get interference from the wiper relay through the stereo.

-Noisy front suspension

-Banging from the n/s when I go through puddles

-Front (non vented disks) were warped as hell after about 6k miles and still are

Got to love them though :)

...oh and the clock misses 5 minutes a month

Sounds like it's time to get Black Bat back on the road then, after 1000 miles refreshing your mind about Lotus build quality, the Fiat will seem like a well designed robust dream luxury car ;)

Glad I'm not the only one who notices the clock  I found it loses 2 mins really fast then takes about 4-6 weeks to lose a further 2, so I set it 2-3 mins fast so its roughly works out. Love stupid Italian cars

We have a white abarth version. It sounds pretty cool on idle. Must get it remapped when the wife is next away.😉

My clock looses time too, but then everything in Italia is done slowly.

I work for a fiat dealer so fix these everyday. As stated rear bushes on the shocks wear out say 20k with hard use , don't fit after market as it will be a panda one with solid bushes and it gives an even harder ride Front top mounts wear out very quickly we probably do a set every day

Can you get a discount on parts? Ie top mounts... Shop4parts do them at £30+vat for a pair, which seems decent but any less is a winner

Don't forget rear wheel bearings are poor as well. Our abarth has had both of them replaced now.

This is what happens when people who want to own Fiat 500s are allowed enough money to buy and run them.

The sooner this is stamped out, the better.

any one had either front seatbelt lock up easily (when putting it on) ?

I did the top mounts, what a fun job that was, but I'll happily do them for others :) ). And sadly its not cured the slightly floppy feeling at the front, so I guess its new lower wishbone time as they have the bushes and ball joints all fitted.
