Only now is this sort of dawning on me that this might be something special!!,I've always loved tracking this car butits been filled with problems, most of them real stupid ones! Hopefully this is an end to it! Always felt like the vx could do with more than stg4 power on track, we will see!! It might be a fcuking nightmare
It's super easy to use more than 300 BHP, honestly, too many people on here waffle on about having "too much power" without enough (any?!) experience and you don't want to listen to them. The only issue is traction and power delivery. So long as your map uses the waste gate correctly to keep the torque spike away and your tyres can put it down you'll be fine.
What width are your rear tyres ?
Overall it looks nicely put together, though with the turbo and related exhaust/inlet gubbins hanging off the back of the car you will likely find it is more tail happy unfortunately - another reason why I think you'll benefit from properly fat rear tyres.

245 although the rims are fit for quite a bit more, although you can 'overtyre a car and make it harder to handle on the limit
got lsd so any tailswappyness should be nice and predictable and easy to rectify

I have 1060 mm of rubber on my car and in the dry it is very grippy indeed. However if has made it much more camber sensitive (not an issue for a track car like yours though).

its being done by volks workshop just outside blackpool, they have a lot of experience with this motor and building track cars,it was decided to do it with a view to possibly converting a few road cars,as a 300 odd horse conversion could be carried out still keeping the boot space quite easily and at a good price compared with tuning the vx motor, and if you wanted more it comes a lot cheaper than trying to get it from the vx motor.
Some of the vx track lot will have seen their work as we all did a few days together last year,a massive power TT diesel, and a really nice MK1 golf that copes with 300hp very well
