I've been running a decatted 2.5" system for over a year on zandvoort. (never got end off)

Problem is they have a quota. If to many noisy people are on track, they start selecting.

I have only seen this happening last year on the LOT day for the first time ever.

iirc none of the english were send off last year. It was all dutch getting a warning.

I'll just go around the circuit in reverse gear, that way all the noise will stay in the silencer.

Loud and falling apart. Going to have to find someone to do an emergency welding job on the decat silencer that seems to be making a break for freedom. Repacking it with the latest and greatest stuffing seems to have made it louder than the 4 or 5 year old stuff I pulled out. :beat:

That's downforce buddy.

Some people need to buy expensive wings for that.

Lotus just added that as a smart design.

Its all going wrong!!!  Stopped off at Vockys last night to try and resolve some issues, still have a car that squeals like a stuffed pig al the time, but that's nothing now!

On the way home the exhaust started to blow, so this morning I got under there and, the 2tubular has cracked and has a large hole in the final bend, and , the flexible part of the cat has a large split and has collapsed and is full of bits of cat!  I have no exhaust system.

I know a local company  who make exhaust systems and they are having a look but its not looking good for tomorrow, so, the vx is more than likely not going to make this trip either.

This is turning out to be a right anus horribilis (and I'm not referring to Dave E's arse).

On a bright note, I will still be joining you rabble whatever, but I may have to do then journey in a more comfy, more powerful air conditioned waft wagon.

I will find out tomorrow morning as he's working on it tonight (top bloke). Finger crossed.

Matt Bentley does/did have one of his new exhaust systems that I believe turned out not to fit a later design of Tullett manifold. Depending on what you have, that might be an option, if he still has it. Dunno. If nothing else, at least you can bin the cat temporarily/permanently.

Wont borrow Laurens, I will only know tomorrow if the exhaust is fixable.

I have a miltec backbox here but its the cat that's the big problem.

Looks like the BMW may well be having its first taste of foreign travel with me. May be time to start looking at vx replacements more seriously, am losing the love fast.
