to be fair, its a miltec cat that's been on there for around 55000 miles, 10 years and a lot of hard use. The 2tubular is just disappointing the way its gone.

I would be amazed if the saab lump is producing more power than the old engine, doesn't feel that special to me.

If it's any consolation Martin, I've got to get my decat section welded up tomorrow before setting off.

True.

But it has better potential though.

I can't believe the timing of this Martin!

I hope 2015 is not going to be a year to be forgotten for lost trackdays  :( (although we've still got the National).

Oi Martin, what's my bottom ever done to you  Keep plugging away at it will be worth it in the end, seems like everything's come at once but as you said, doing what you do with it and getting 55k on one cat ain't bad going it's just the timing that's sh*t. Look forward to a couple of drinks with you as long as you don't whimp out of this one too :poke:

Seeing techie boys car almost makes mine look like a goer (even though its outside now, jacked up with a large vacant space at the back.)

If I the exhaust can be bodged and I can have the patience to refit the thing again, Vinnie will be there, if not,I will be there, but it will be the grumble wagon.

I'm booked in for 3pm at an exhaust place tomorrow when mine will start looking like that too. I should leave the car alone, just been outside to put the dash back in. Got as far as the frustration of wrangling one of the securing screws in before realising it will have to come out all over again as I didn't connect the starter button.
