They look exactly the same, you can't see the offset difference as it's all inset, hence why they really need spacing out a few mm to prevent any potential fouling issues.

Does it rub with 215 fronts? Amd how heavy is the steering? Wondering as 215/45/17 Federal RSR are cheap in that size and I need some new rubber!

Does it rub ? Yes on full lock oddly when reversing but never had an issue under normal driving only when manovering in a tight space And that is with rear rims on front and 5mm spacers Is the steering heavy ? No not really noticed any difference

I had a set of Astra twin top 17" ET37 wheels on my VX with 205/40/17 on the fronts fitted with 10mm spacers on all 4 wheels. Tired with 215/45/17 on the fronts but just rubbed the chassis finished with 205s. I noticed they tramline on county roads and on the motorway inside lanes due to lorry road wear. I have now fitted the standard VX wheels and the car feels better and lighter to steer. The car looked better with the wider Astra wheels all round as it filled the arches better.

I used to have a 5 mm  spacer but now I have nothing.
