Work has finally begun. Me and Steve got the rear clam (almost) off this afternoon and have also taken the supercharger off to aid access to the intake manifold for fitting the WMI.
Steve found a break in the anti lock braking wire that must have been triggering the safe mode and speedo failure so that's thankfully a cheap fix. Also discovered there's a coolant leak from the rad hosing somewhere and a hundred other little jobs that need doing.
WMI first though.

Clam would be off if someone remembered his keys.... dummy.
No point waiting for software, it can be all fitted anyway, you don't have to use it.
At the min we just want to get everything fitted and sort out all the other little niggles with the car.
Got to sort the leak from front end so will put the new V on at the same time for instance.
Thankfully the broken wire is at a previous repair above the plug with plenty of wire either side, so easy and no cost fix.

Oh anyone know what is used to bond in the soft top retaining mounts on the top corners of windscreen? Looks like it locates and just uses sikaflex or alike to hold it in place, the load being taken by the location.

I still think putting a big CC rad upfront will be the best investmentClam would be off if someone remembered his keys.... dummy. Bit more progress today. Intake manifold off and now with Steve for fitment of the nozzles. Two very awkward bolts took Steve about an hour to extract working from underneath the car with me holding the mani in position. If it wasn't for my knee I'd have been down there . Think the water tank will have to fit on the parcel shelf but we'll see.

Lots more pics but as above can't get them off my phone. This week should hopefully involve installing the WMI system. Or at least a start.
