Great to see you keep this car on the road, a real credit to your perseverance.

Really frustrating day today. Little bits of fibre glass repairs took ages then the replacement Eliseshop wiper with spray bar turned out to be rubbish - the spring in the arm and the blade itself didn't have enough tension to keep it flat to the screen leaving a big gap in the arc. So we bastardised the (good £4) old arm and fitted the spray bar from the Eliseshop arm. PITA and £40 wasted
Then the bonnet hinge refused to fit cos of previous bodged attempts to make the bonnet line up. Another PITA job that ate into our time.
We ended up getting the front clam half fitted
Still do do:
Complete front clam fitting
Fit rear clam
Fit interior
Get WMI working
Whatever other little shitty jobs we discover need doing.
We were just saying today the 'big' stuff e.g. fitting the WMI has been straight forward and hassle free. Its all the little things that take hours to sort that you didn't even know needed attention.
Unless I can somehow get a day off next week I am not confident I'll make Anglesey

I don't mind giving a hand to help finish off on the weekend if someone wanted to pick me up as i haven't got a car.
Cheers for the offer Luke. Problem is I'm away in Manchester for my niece's 3rd birthday this weekend.

Doesn't help that I'm basically a cripple. Can't kneel down because of my operated on knee, and can't bend or move properly cos I've developed sciatica which is kicking my arse literally. So I'm slow as f*ck working on the car and Steve has to keep jumping in to help me out on jobs I should be able to do myself. Properly frustrating.
Whine whine, whinge whinge....

Just think - this time next week, it'll all be back in one piece and you'll be packed up ready for Anglesey.
Or not

The last time the National was at Anglesey I changed 3 gearboxes in a week, pull your finger out!
Seriously, if you need help I can spare some time. If someone can give me and Luke access to your car and you give us a list of what needs doing we can crack on without you.
