I spent ages looking for a suitable (and cheaper) container but couldn't find anything. The shape and baffles in this one at least mean it wont suffer starvation at low levels. I want to retain the washer bottle as it's a road car and it's situated behind the seats for 2 reasons: proximity to injection points and weight distribution. You also have to securely attach the pump next to it so the parcel shelf made most sense.

Can't stand those pads tbh. When I get time I'm gonna angle grind the metal bit off as well.

I can bloody well imagine. Having had neigh on 10days of mega back pain, suspected sciatica and muscle spasms, I have a lot of sympathy. I hope on all hopes that you can just climb in and be comfortable.

Cheers dude. I came off the morphine last week so don't feel like such a junky any more :D I'll know tomorrow morning when Crabash picks me up if I can get in it - cos he's driving his VX down to MMG.

Fingers crossed you can get out again at Liam's. And that the bill doesn't knock you flat again.

I made it back. 7 hrs in a VX as either passenger or driver and minimal sciatic pain. Way less than when driving the shed to work. Quite astonished to be honest. And very happy. As for the car, well it's just reminded me how epic it is to drive. And I can report for anyone else considering this exhaust option that the decay Larini paired with tubby back box works a treat. No problems sat at 70 for ages on the motorway, no horrible resonances when going slowly through the gears. I do miss the pops and gurgles of the Larini back box and may yet revert to my previous set up (standard cat section with Larini back box) next year but for now I just want to drive it. Bring on Anglesey next week, then Spa in June, Zandvoort in August followed by French Frolic / euro trip. I think I deserve it. :)

Great news that both you and the car are fixed! On the exhaust.. What happens at MOT time? Do you just need to make sure the local MOT station has the appropriate 'equipment' or does is pass with careful mapping? I'd be interested in how it sounds with the decat and tubby box!

Erm, must have some special equipment... it's getting MOT'd as I type.

Neil, I've still got a standard cat with precat removed. Let me know if you want it.
