Hopefully the shafted relay did not put to much heat in the engine, and warp something.
When my relay stopped, the intake temp skyrocketed very quick. I monitor it via my phone and torque so was quick to stop the car before it could do damage.

Am I right in assuming we can press off the old one ? For refit was thinking the new one needs to be heated up in oven (say 180c) and then tapped firmly home. Sound right Vocky ? Sent from my SM-G903F using Tapatalk
I found even heating the pulley hub up as much as I could in the oven, it didn't go on easily, and required a lot of force to try and drive it on. Therefore, I'd try get some kind of contingency bolt to drive on the pulley.
The worst case is that the hub cools part way on, and becomes very difficult to budge.. I found the Smoothflow hub to have a very tight tolerance, and therefore not easy to install.

Shouldnt have caused any damage, when IAT's go high then knock is caused which is picked up by the ECU and timing is retarded, net result is a drop in power but no damage.
More worrying for the engine is the coolant which now resides in Neils intake manifold - hence we have not started it since realising where it is going.

No they are all really tight. Haven’t got correct screwdriver head to remove. Will try local engineering place for bolts
Hawk Fasteners in South Bank, they have almost everything.

You could also try packing some bags of frozen peas around the shaft (as well as heating the pulley).

Question - will I need a smaller SC belt now I’m changing to a 3” pulley and if so what size? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
From what size? From the standard 3.35" pulley, almost definitely, or you will get belt slip.
It depends slightly on a few things, but around a 1270 - 1275 belt is about right for a 3" pulley.
