Was a bit of a disappointment today. Ended up 6th in class due to certain things. I cocked up the start and then I spun about 5 laps in. Was lying 10th in class at one point but the second half of the race was better. Managed to get 4 places back including one on the last corner. Two laps from the end the gearbox breather pipe came off and sprayed oil on the rear tyre and the cabin got a bit smokey. Oh and I had two contact. One from an m3 which damaged the right hand rear wheel, I'm not sure how the valve stayed in, it's mangled Then about tour laps from the end I overtook a mini on the inside of the exit of the last corner and he decided it would be a good idea to steer into me twice so I've got a damaged door, sill and rear left hand wheel. So all in all not a good day. Still, it's Rockingham next and I've had a race win there!

In three and a half years that was the most competetive race I've been in. Some of the cars were very quick and very expensive. The car that finished 4th was a 2016 Seat that cost £88k, there was a factory run Zenos E10S, the road cars are £40k but this one was built from scratch as a race car at the factory. It didnt make the second lap! Says a lot for Zenos cars.

you should drill and tap the gearbox breather and use a suitable fitting, the standard takeoff is rubbish for connecting to and they nearly always fall off :(

mine came off for the first time in 3 years the other day. Refitted but that end of the pipe had gone slightly soft so it didnt stay on long!

The MSVR TDC race on Saturday could have gone better. I suffered at the hands of a safety car.

The safety car came out and instead of picking up the leader picked up the two back markers with me behind them about to lap them. This meant the rest of the field was able to continue round and almost lap me.

I fought back a bit but couldn't make it up in relation to two cars in my class. I finished 3rd in class which meant I finished 3rd in the class B championship 2016 out of 22.

It was a bit gutting losing the chance of winning the championship in this way but I'd probably have taken 3rd at the start of the season.

Today I did the MSVR TDT race. I qualified 2nd behind a guest Porsche Cayman. I made the grid with 2 minutes to spare due to driveshaft problems.

From the start I managed to get in front and build a ten second lead. I led for 25 minutes but then lost concentration and at the end of a 45 minute race I finished 2nd in race and second in class.

There is a memorial trophy awarded in connection with a race driver who was killed. His parents finance it. It's presented to the driver who is deemed to have had "the best drive" at the meeting and they awarded it to me!!! I was so chuffed!! Not sure why a race winner isn't deemed to have had "the best drive " but I'm not complaining.

So four trophies over the weekend one of which I haven't been presented with yet. I've had worse weekends
