Blower & cams on a B207 engine; yes...
(But note that that 372HP was measured without alternator etc., so skewing the readings a bit.)
I meant the 2 magnuson blowers mentioned, which directly bolts on the LSJ intake manifold.

Read better; they used adapter plates to fit these onto the LSJ intake manifold:
(I see they blanket off the bypass function for these power tests...)
Only the LSJ-M62 blower or the Harrop LSJ-TVS 1320 are a direct fit.

Time for an update I think, It's been a little while. No pictures as of yet, but some to come.
Been using the car daily still. Clicked over 129K so been planning a full car refresh in the near future.
Had to make a repair to the rear clam where cracks were starting to show, probably from a previous repair. So with that done, the cars rear end is in primer
Also took off the sill covers (held in place with hard velcro like a lot of little parts. It's sh*t stuff, and I hate it, whoever thought about using that stuff was clearly an idiot and should be shot.)
And found a few cracks where weight had been put on and cracked the sill.
So more fibreglass was brought in and they were patched up and primed.
Been using the car like a patchwork as I finish the rest of the work I want before going in for a full shoot in the near future.
Debating staying the standard red, or changing to a different red.
With the rabiata being pearl its going to be a pain.
Other jobs have included fitting the full carpet kit.
Mounting fire extinguisher
Fixing exhaust
Removing parts of the heat shield that had decided they didn't like the car
TO DO
Remove front clam and fix 3 cracks
Remove front V
Remove Vauxhall badge at the back
Retrim seats
Refurb wheels from white to anthracite
2 x new tyres on rear (Friday)
Suspension alignment (Saturday)
Suspension refresh - when I can be bothered
Purchase hardtop
Repair and trim sill covers
Fit removable steering wheel (got boss and adapter plate, just need a wheel now)
Also need to wire in egr fix kit as I'm sick of the EML being on and knocking it off every day
ABS fault - Switch to turn off
So lots of progress, lots more to be done though
then DRIVE before deciding it's time to supercharge

Car's just clicked over 130k
Made a few more adjustments to it over the past few weeks
New gear cables, as I managed to snap one during a gentle change from second to third. and never made third.
Also wired in a new EGR cheater, but intend to Map this out this weekend.
Had two new tyres fitted and had suspension aligned.
New shockers and Timing chain ordered along with some new water pipes for the front radiator as mine are perished.
ABS system fault has been fixed, found a poor connection, so removed the plugs, re terminated them in new plugs and we're all good now.
Car is getting sprayed in the coming days now so will be back to looking better than I've ever seen it. Along with the wheel refurb should have me looking sweet
Current state before spray
Have made a small repair to the front number plate holder, hence why it's in the window.
I'm also debating what to do with the fog light holes. As the brackets were perished. I could make some new ones and re mount the fog lights, but I'd rather just mesh over them subtly to blend them in with the car.
Lots of progress, but now plan to sell the car in the summer once I've done all the work

arg fronts without the fog holes looks just weird to me

I'll be leaving the holes, just mesh behind them so it's subtle,
Not going to be using it as anything soon as I plan to sell it and get something different.
Car is set up perfectly as a daily now, with inside carpets, soon to be covered sills and dash, quilted roof lining, a heater pipe that works and gets the car toasty warm as well as a decent radio.
AND I've managed to get it watertight (well, downpour rain tight)

Struth, you've only had it for 3 months and done all this work, why not keep it and enjoy it ?

He must be turning 24 soon! His car history suggests a new toy each birthday. Keep the vx and let it grow on you. You may fall in love with it.Struth, you've only had it for 3 months and done all this work, why not keep it and enjoy it ?

No, I've never had a car bought for me, or given to me. Cars are something I buy myself as projects or because I enjoy them.
Rx8 was my first car at 21. kept that a year before selling it and buying my old man's old jag (gave him trade in value for it) sold it for a profit after I used it to drive across europe. He wanted it gone and we split the difference of the profit.
Bought the evo intending to keep it. But putting my hand in my pocket for £150 a week in fuel sharp changed that idea.
BMW was a short term quick turnaround profit
VX looked like a tasty opportunity and a nice car for smiles per gallon again

So been doing a few bits and pieces and almost ready to go to paint now.
Had the front clam off, and that was a complete nightmare, most of the bolts already rounded or completely fcuked. Many ended up being drilled out and replaced. One or two missing and some black sealant used instead. (took 3 hours off, 30 mins on)
Removal for paint we expect 1 hour max now all the niggles have been sorted.
Front V now removed properly with all thh screws taken out. Planning to paint/plasti dip my grilles whilst painted to bring the car back to a lovely finish all round.
Front clam went back on after a good clean underneath and I have to say it looks pretty good considering the miles on it.
So a deep clean of everything I could get my hand into and new bolts all round for the clam got it looking dapper again, and me feeling a lot better about it.
Fog lights are completely gone now, and not really sure about replacements at the moment, can always be retro fitted to the original holes.
Picture taken before cleaning and proper mounting of HID kits
Replaced both side engine mounts which cured a noise I had at the back. Both were completely fcuked as shown here.
New battery got fitted too as old one was on the way out.
Fill list of things done so far here
So as I bought the car:

Wheels will be getting done black at the same time and I'll be finished until a new rattle appears.
Still getting some good use out of the car, but I can't keep up with 4wd and boost over bumpy roads, the car is too light and just can't get the power down around corners without having the back end hang out dangerously far.
The roads around Derwent reservoir are too bumpy!
