...my dear friends....its called basic economics.....demand vs supply..... **
...as the supply dwindles...and the demand stays the same or increases..the natural law of economics will see prices hold or go up.
..the opposite if supply outstrips demand...
** as long as the product is in a relatively good condition...

My 128k NA 2003 was about 5k all said and done.
Hoping to increase this value with some improvements, rebuild, respray, engine build, ITB's etc

Hope you are right, I have been holding onto a VXR for years now as my son wanted it, he lives in Norway so we don't get the chance to use it much although I do keep it up and running all the time.
We took it out over the Christmas period and bearing in mind he is now 6'-4" it is too small for him.

Got my eye on a classic Alfa or similar
If you get an Alfa, you'll just be bending into the engine bay to fix it all the time instead

Prices certainly are looking good. Certainly interesting to me as I got mine 3 1/2 years ago for £7250 with 60,000 miles. It's now on over 100,000 miles, a handful of minor irritants and yet would still probably get over £7000 at sale.

There should be some good news on all cars but it's the low mileage ones that are heading up of course. The VX is the hardest to find a good example of. I would reckon we are maybe 2/3 years from 20k been reasonable for a low mileage turbo and 15 for a good NA.
......proof is in the pudding.....give me a quote on a LY85.....less than 30k.......well looked after, cant guarrentee last owner info though....
