Having been stood for 10 years + it will need new valve stem oil seals ,rocker cover gasket, new tyres and god knows what else IMO. Is the clutch plate welded to the flywheel ? Nothing but trouble in my view.

That's what I was thinking. But you never know, it may not have aged a day if it has been kept in a dark warm room.

Well given that my maximum bid would be way over 15k then yes it will go for more. Bearing in mind a rad is £120 and it just needs a service I think you'll be shocked. People are willing to pay the right money for stuff like this as I believe we have proved time and time again when I used to advertise cars on here.

If I had £25k burning a hole in my pocket and prefered the turbo over NA (not bloody likely :P ), then I would happily bid that amount for it. A new OEM rad and a service is nothing on the scale of things, find another 420 mile vx220 for sale.

Good luck to anyone bidding on it, but remember you cannot drive it or the value will go down faster than the car can go

It's a sensible buy for a punter at 19/20k you could actually do 3k a year for 3 years and you still have a low mileage car. I suspect it will end up in a collection maybe even go into Europe.

quite poor condition for a car which has never been out in the rain, loads of water damage underneath - corrosion of wishbones and discolouration of chassis. Possibly from washing it with a hose pipe and driving it whilst still wet ?

£19.995 on a forecourt would be max in that condition.

Nice winter project to bring it back. Change ever fluid in it, filters, plugs, brakes, timing belt, tires etc Sitting for that long you would wonder about pitting on the cylinder walls from the rings being in one place for so long, seen that happen resulting in a total engine rebuild.

I thought it looked really clean. It's still been in existence for 15 or so years so it's going to some moisture damage. I think the engine and anything made of rubber would worry me.

Haha, my sentiments exactly. Badgerade has put his ITB up for sale, well underpriced, with ITBs it should be up for at least £29,000 :)
