Prices look fairly strong at the moment, few n/a's on auto trader around the £14/15k mark, low mikes under 40k but not mega low miles. Jonnyboy seems to be selling any he gets in like hot cakes, finally getting the recognition they deserve?

Then its under insured. My 2003 VXT on 81,000 has a guaranteed value policy of £14k. Get a valuation certificate and get your insurance company to revise its value.

Who did your valuation? Does Jonnyboy do them?

I think my NA with 27k on it was valued at £6k last year on my policy..looking at other mint low milers today I think times have changed and I need to get an agreed value jobby. Always tell when a car/bike is rising and collectable the non specialist dealers get back on board again.

I wonder how much this beauty would be worth today, definitely one of the best looking VX220s in the land.

Is it people prefer the standard un modded versions? I have an NA but thought the SC values were strong?

It does seem that now they've entered the edge of the 'classic car, good investment' zone, people are more interested in very original than very fast!

Sign of the times.

And after 6 months, they'll realise they want them fast too, removing the pool of unmolested NAs

I hear Silver NAs on standard alloys are a better bet than gold to invest in at the moment.

When they become true classic cars buyers will buy non original and then source OEM parts and put them back to original if that's their thing. I have found that with a lot of classic cars originality isn't everything. My mk1 Escort for example is far from original and is much more valuable as a result. If it were one of the AVO models then originally or period mods would be the thing.

I agree with the standard spec stuff.... I'm just converting to ITBs, but will be keeping all the original parts so it can go back to standard... that way I can sell a std car and a full itb kit.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
