Wow. I’ve not heard of many owners making a profit after so long.

6 - 8 years ago price were at the bottom.

I would expect to make at least a £4k - £5k profit on mine if I sold now.

I originally bought new at £25k 19 years ago, and part exchanged after I put 130k miles on it after 12 years for a mint one, and another 70k miles later.

Am I one of the few who have done over 200k in these plastic sh*t boxes, and its still worth around 70% of its original cost.

The investment is not losing depreciation, but keeping their value stable, if I had bought an MX5, MR2, MGTF etc at the time they would all be worthless

Sold my Vx on Monday.

Bought it with 60k on the clock. Sold it with 131k on it.

Owned it for 11 years.

Sold for more than I paid for it.

That definitely equals a profit right

I assume you took off all the costs associated with maintaining/taxing it from your "gross profit" positon?  I suspect once you have done that, you will have a made a loss, not a profit!  (if some people, not you, want to treat as "investment" then you need to measure as an investment hahahahaha).

It was very much tongue in cheek. I spent C£28k on it over eleven years. Worth every penny and no regrets whatsoever

You've still got to add on and settle the NPC's labour bill over those 11 years Jamez 😂

Prices are looking good for good examples of vx220s.
The odd vxr comes on the market every now and then and gets snapped up.
Its a sellers market at the moment

Yes prices for decent turbos are well north of £15k now - used cars in general are just going up thanks to lack of supply
