Also spotted something failed to see when looking around pre-purchase, some damage to wing mirror mount. Again where can I get one of these as this will bug me.

Or fit S2 Elise plinths that also move the mirrors outward a bit and give better rear visibility. Only need some minor modification to fit (need to sand off a little at the bottom edge to clear the VX door curve)

I'm constantly shooing the girlfriend's bloody cats off the VX. They like to play in the mud first to cause maximum annoyance. Then I get in trouble for chasing them!

Left work early today and got the heat gun out and finally released these bad boys ready to go off for a new lacquer coat

Also my additional foam padding arrived for adding to the seats, and whilst at it I will add some creature comfort....mainly for lady friends ;-)

So now the forums working again...

Went out for a impromptu mini meet with the NPC, was tarred and feathered for the

Here are the stickers -2 fitted, 2 spares

Posted Image

I also popped to Halfrauds and picked up some new tyre weld as the original was missing when I got the car. I also fitted a washer wiper and plumbed this in to. Followed by shortly removing all the leaves and detritus that was collecting in the gutter.

Posted Image

I then finally dusted off my tool kit and set to work removing seats. 5 mins in 3 out of 4 removed, then discovered that someone had rounded the allen head of the bolt under the seat (the awkward one) so now on a mission today to knock it around now Ive managed to create a notch in it....failing that dremel off and then deal with fallout of the left bolt body....

Update-

Those who didn't know....I swapped alloys, also past 2 days ive been out from 6pm till 10pm working away!

Posted Image

Had to cut the bolt in the end as the previous owner(s) had rounded it off...great! And finally removed the old bolt with dads Posted Image

Whilst seats were out, I hoovered and cleaned the metal work with a cleaner. There was evidence of corrosion/pitting so will be treating with some ACF-50 blocker once I can get some. I also removed Olly's nuclear blast resistant velcro! Took some effort to get the sills clean again!

Posted Image

Posted Image]

Both seats were removed, have had extra foam added for comfort and also heated seat kit.

Posted Image

I was able to get the dash off after getting through Olly's nuclear strength tiger seal, although in the end didn't need to but till take the opportunity to re-seal and line with silver foil tape.

Posted Image

And ta-da heated seat kit fitted.

Posted Image

Close up

Posted Image

I also re-attached 3 broken off female carpet attach points.

To do-

ACF-50 treat rear floor.

Install boot light

Install cabin pockets & rear cargo net

Install bluetooth handsfree kit

Install fire extinguishers

Repair alarm Led

Work out rear boot gas strut cocnept

Is that a spout from a tube of super glue by the locking wheel nut grommet? I'll be interested to see what you come up with for the bonnet struts, it's something I have thought of doing in the past but never got round to.

No point at all covering the ducting in silver tape. By that point the heat is already where you want it (cabin) and the amount of heat loss through radiation is minimal. There are better ways to spend your time/money.
