I'll be interested to see how you get with the gas strut for the boot. Keep up the good work :D

Well the interior liner arrived

Posted Image

Installed it and made the car a little more cozy

Posted Image

The old heater wasn't too bad to get out and soon found a new home to a buyer from here.

Posted Image

I am still awaiting my neoprene ducting hose so in meantime used a bit of B&Q ducting to test the fezzasus heater system out. Much much warmer yay!

One of the best mods I have done so far! I still have more tinkering to do yet but I am happy so far!

It was dark by time I was able to get my camera out!

Hooray! It has arrived. 2.4 inlet manifold :-)

Now I need to decide when I am going to fit these after double checking my alternator type first of course!

Even a 100a needs trimming for the 2.4.

Update!

Alarm LED repair - repaired with a new LED simple repair, am planning to install a 2nd self flashing led near dash as the alarm LED only functions when set (as standard)

I installed some NVH mats under seats and rear wall where no carpet is currently-

Posted Image

My centre console & cup holder have returned! I am still awaiting my resprayed door cards, they will be following shortly

Posted Image

Posted Image

I hadn't reglued the gear gaitor at this point

Posted Image

I removed the cig socket when the cup holder went for respray so I replaced with with a bung and my 12v to 5v USB power module and two sockets on short fly leads. The unit plugs into the old cig lighter and is the right amp for a swap to not overload wiring/fuses.

Loving the car! :-)

Liking the resprayed console, hope they hold up to chipping ok. Why the tape around the bottom?

Wouldn't one of these have been a neater solution rather than having a couple of loose wires sticking out?

I have three of those in the car (one in place of the old accessory socket). Work well but the blue LED is fcuking annoying as it's constantly on.

Didn't have one of these so I fitted what I had already which I prefer as it allows plenty of cable length and can be tucked away.

Tape on bottom is temporary until new U channel rubber arrives.

I only see it getting chipped by seats being taken in/out, I was uber careful on installation protecting with bubble wrap as seats were lowered in.

Been a while so time for some updates!

Electric boot release hidden button for security when roof left off parked- Still to implement

Vinyl wrap window surround -Possibly on hold owing to cracked window =(

Repair sill cover 2nd attempt needed with added glass fibre reinforcing and then respray or leather sill cover

So! All of the sprayed interior is either fitted as above or to be fitted tomorrow. The door cards and re-lacquered carbon wing mirrors came back this evening- VERY happy with them (photos don't do justice!)

Posted Image

Posted Image

The original lacquer was peeling away on these when I got the car so this is like brand new again!

Posted Image

As far as spraying goes, that is it really.... just the whole exterior to be done in the future.

So on my to do list in April I had brake calipers down, I also tried spraying the wheel centre caps but it didn't finish good so in the end they were wrapped and I quite like them

Posted Image

I may get the wheels changed to a gloss black...yes I know I have sh*t cheap tyres. They will be going.

Posted Image

Standing back-

 Posted Image

FINALLY- I wanted to wrap my window surround but didn't have enough material...in the end I wrapped the inner surround. It was peeling off when I bought the car and was patchy so it has been good to finally tidy this up

Posted Image

Both of the roof bar holders are also now covered, initially when I did the first half I didn't but I preferred it so went back and finished it off.

Posted Image

Whats next......... Rear clam hinge mod as per Thoughtless design.

Did you make the mold from the oem part?

I take it this is part of the hinge mod you mentioned? Does it hinge from the roll bar? Thought most had figured it is easier from the rear...

The molds were made by Thoughtless so best to ask him. It is a hinge mod from the roll bar. Thoughtless had started with rear hinge and infact ended up hinging from the roll bar in the end. I believe he made the better choice and after seeing it in the flesh it makes sense and you don't lose your boot space either nor have issues with the rear clam and exhaust area catching
