The cutting of the chassis in the fuel tank area seems a bit dodgy. I like that the standard wheelbase remains. Will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

well that certainly does compromise the chassis

I think it might twist just a little without the crossbrace

about 32l tank I thought he could have mounted the alternator to the block with plenty of space in the V angle.

Can't see how much has been put into the main engine support crossmember (assuming there is one to support the engine), as that may help to tie things together assuming its connected to the alloy chassis end plates. That was my thinking when I was looking at a suitable crossmember design for a theoretical longitudinal V8 installation..

Looks like a nice wee project but whats the point in taking a mid engined sports car, ripping the engine out, spending a lot of time and money in putting into a different mid engined sports car? Take an M5 V8 or an RS6 twin turbo V6 instead

That'd be a right bastard to change the engine mounts on a weekly basis

They are big / heavy engines though, not configured for the MR layout. The fancy Fiat engine is, with its gearbox, and is more of a 'sportcar' engine..

Or maybe he just got it cheap..
