Just seeing this. Nice engine + gearbox combo, but but some questionable decisions and engineering going on there with the chassis...
And wtf did he do with the alternator? Mounted solid onto the chassis and then v-belt to the (moving...) engine??

The cutting of the chassis in the fuel tank area seems a bit dodgy. I like that the standard wheelbase remains. Will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

After 521 days on axle stands. From this:
to this:
For those interested it's been around 1350 man hours so far. Not including the very few things I haven't done myself:
- fuel tank fabrication (maybe 20 hours)
- exhaust manifold welding (about 5 hours)
- majority of the loom (unsure)
being the only things...
No denying it's been a tough slog! works out around 17-18 hours a week on top of my 39hr normal, but really quite rewarding now that I'm nearly there.
will be sure to let you all know once it's ready for mapping
cheers,
Pat

Well, that's certainly answered a question that didn't ever need asking. GMS front clams and S1 Elises should never be allowed to breed.

Looks absolutely fantastic to my eye. Then again I do oppose some of the abortions posted up in this forum so beauty is in the eye of the beholder (exige spoiler on a vx springs to mind...)
