the car is undriveable at the moment, ask anyone that saw the wheel after 10/15mins of being on track

the wheel was moving massively! so was either fit oem parts (£450) or these, the cost wasnt that big when you take into account selling the one good upright

chinky chinky

The best way to make it reliable is to replace everything produced by Lotus :)

Probably, It's 19 years old. Not sure how long the glue was supposed to last and s1's have had issues with the aluminium floors degrading in the past.

Specifiically

"In my owners manual their was an addendum for chassis replacement at the first F-service (due at 15 years or 150,000 miles - which ever is sooner)."

The chassis is a welded spaceframe it's just the skins that are rivited on. Plus my chassis is 3 years old, If it were nearly 20, I would be replacing it regardless of how it is built. I personally wouldn't want to be pushing to the limit on track in mine if it were that old.

Joe's car was pretty dangerous at the National. He's right to upgrade the hubs, I probably would have.

Not trying to scaremonger, it's just things don't last forever. I do love s1 Exiges but personally I wouldn't want to be battering one around track.

thats fine, im more than happy to batter it around track. if it snaps in two then the insurance will cover it

if it stays in one piece then hey, happy days eh?
