The K20 is difficult to improve I hope it all goes well, a friend of mine took a DC5 integra to a local "tuners" and they bolted a load of parts on, rebuilt it with high compression pistons and a big valve head with cams and when he took it to get mapped it produced less power. Honda did a very good job of these engines but forced induction makes everything better :D

Do your research well for improving the K20A head... It flows very well in stock form

Exhaust ports - gasket match and polish Intake - flow the manifold Ports into the gasket and then gasket into the head Then a nice head skin I'm not going for mega power which is why I'm using Honda intake and cams :)

Only thing that's stopped me doing a trackday was self-inflicted (well, now I think about it, you were responsible for that too). Major league hangover.

That's funny, I thought it involved peas....

You see, that's just urban legend. What I said was "it's the tea's", the spunk shot filled tea pot and tea cups amongst about 20 bottles of cider was not a good combo. Thank god for the nice stomach settling digestif sambuca shots at the end of the night, gawd knows what state I'd have been in without them.

Can you smooth all your manifold through? I use a hybrid scotchbrite/ emery flap wheel for these jobs. Later I pull the emery out and just scotchbrite it. Nice and smooth without being polished.

I will give that a go. In America I have seen them cut the back off to polish it all and then reweld it! I can't raise my cr as much as I wanted due to piston/valves. So will settle with what it's at. Then get a bottom end to build up at a later date when more funds are available!

Yeah but it's shiney so it must do something!

I've always done it and it does get the coating of soot but I still do it.  Must be a habit.
