Here is a couple of photos of the intake manifold
Those are not coolant ports.
The throttlebody is heated on the Civic to stop it freezing up in cold climates. That's an actual coolant feed and usually deleted.
The ports you show on the manifold however serve different purposes:
- PCV vacuum port => PCV valve is screwed into the block/waterpump housing and oil vapour is sucked from the block through this and air is drawn into the engine via the valve cover connection
- Cold-start assist and idle elevation => secondary air feed into the intake ports controlled by a thermostatic element screwed into the coolant pipe that closes off the air feed once the coolant is up to temperature
The cold start air feed uses channels moulded into the manifold and the small holes above the intake ports you can see in the manifold flange to allow additional air to bypass the TB during engine warm up.
Both are not needed although you may need to fit a catchtank on the valvecover connection if you block off the PCV ports on the block and manifold as it will now 'exhale' out that port and bring more vaopur and droplets out.
Bye, Arno.

apologies my mistake! they looked like they where going into the water pump etc!
anyways, not a big update i must admit but i have cleaned and fitted new pullies to these bad boys
then a boring photo of changing the hoses from fast and furious blue to black and chassis piece below the bulkhead, this is a known fault on the s1, water seats in it and corrodes the chassis, i have sanded back the corrosion and then painted
still progress is progress eh?
hopefully have a bigger update this weekend

Now is the time to fit a nice big Laminova C43-332 in the hose that runs along the bottom rail and ditch the awful Honda 'donut' cooler under the oil filter. A takeoff and some nice braided PTFE oil hoses and you're set.
Second action would be to additionally install a dedicated takeoff on the block and move the oil filter to a bracket on the back-stay for easier access and filter changes.
Not trying to induce 'feature creep'.. Really!
Bye, Arno.

Kinda...
Second option here: http://www.hondaelis...nal-extras.html
Although AFAIK they only sell parts to existing LinkUp converted cars..
Remote oil filter is something most people do by themselves.
Bye, Arno.
