250 on an S1 is pretty awsome.

that missing sensor is for the coolant temp gauge, exactly the same sensor as the unused one. So move that one and fit a blanking plug.

couple more bits done tonight, only little bits though

 

coolant hoses,

fill coolant and double check for leaks

coolant bottle cap painted

cam cover breather painted and fitted ::

fuel hoses

driveshaft shield painted and fitted

intake filter etc all trial fitted just waiting on some wiring mods before properly fitted

fitted  manifold

 

 

 

plan for tomorrow is to clean and paint the subframe

well, i learnt a valid lesson earlier on in my life, when it comes to cleaning its better to supervise!

 

 

after jet washing dirt and removing all the grease etc from the subrfame we masked it up on a bed sheet vocky left round hope he doesnt want it back!!

 

 

then painted, we only painted the steel and left the aluminum as its pointless painting it etc

 

 

 

pretty chuffed with the outcome! not bad for 19 years old

Thats an awfully tight angle on that coolant return hose out of the header tank. Is it flowing properly?

its the natural position for that hose, it may look tight but its how the hose is designed

Lol I cleaned the megane today, then had to drive through a huge mud puddle, obviously went through at speed then realised I had a brown megane.. Bad days.

Whats the plans for bushes are you changing them or are they already uprated

They where done last year by previous owner so I don't see a point in doing them again Will give me something to do next year
