Once you get it back Joe, I presume you be selling it as usual?😂 I've just had a custom 3" 90 degree stainless tailpipe section made up with a removable db killer to replace my twin exhaust. It cost £55 delivered & according to my iPhone is now 5db quieter on static. I've also now got a fully enclosed paper filter air box to try next time out. My target is Bedford. You should do the same. Your giant cone filter just makes your hands looks small in photos.

So.. As a very rare huge elise motorsport radiator come up for sale.. Would be rude not to put in mine right?! Won't be until I'm very bored at winter tho lol

Looks like a genuine one.. Problem with these has always been that they do not have the mounting flanges on them for the rad fan though, so you'll need to build some form of fan frame/mount yourself.

Race cars usually can do without the fan anyway, so it wasn't a design requirement for these :)

Bye, Arno.

Lol that giant k and n filter was for the bimmer! It is currently at cpl racing getting a custom intake made that won't lose me loads of power ;) Yup I know about the sandwich way and the fan, I may get pro alloy to weld some tabs on for the fan :)

How much is it worn? Is it worth getting the tyres swapped overy now before they get too worn on one side?

It is a genuine one. The fan can be mounted with the Kenlowe type zip fixings and the rad itself clamped in with foam panels

It has been said that when Joe's going at full attack on track, his tyres can last up to 4 years!!!!

....THAT'S BECAUSE JOE'S CAR IS NEVER ON TRACK! Or is it because he drives like a WUSSY? :thefinger:

Aren't I the one that's known for destroying a set of new tyres at abbeville rallly Anyways... I don't think I have big enough balls to commit to a corner to use the full tyre  The car will be done by the 4th July apart from the geo that hopefully MBR can sort out. Then will be going to Bedford and see what falls off then hopefully be ready for zandy May fit a row bar to the bimmer as not sure which one will break down

It is a lovely car though. Definitely not going to consider an Elise K20 knowing you need to take the engine out for most things. On the bright side, with all that practice, Joe can take his engine out quicker than I can change my gear cables.

On the contrary, driving on the limit and preserving your tyres takes more skill and is slightly faster than driving beyond the limit with too much slip. That's what I think. Give me a set of 255 40 18 on the Z4M and I'll destroy them in 15 mins guaranteed. Doesn't make me a committed driver :D

Somewhere end of 2009 iirc.

First glimps made me think that Lee had brought his 14 year old son along for the ride.

But that is many moons ago
