And I've managed to bag myself some hand me down non original lotus Schroths

engine is now ready for collection

 

ended up having new cams fitted as the ones that where fitted didnt suit the high comp pistons and at 30degrees only allowed 1mm piston/valve clearance which at 9000revs would have a high risk of kissing!

 

so got new cams fitted supplied and installed by CPL Racing.

 

Also had a hard stop fitted at 40degrees so that there is no chance of it exceeding the limit.

 

hoping to pick it up monday ready to install it monday / tuesday / wednesday (aslong as my bimmer is fixed by then!!) then drop it back down there so they can map it... so wish they where in aylesbury

Picked up the engine today (in the back of the courtesy car only a little oil stain )

Vtec set to 40degrees with a hard stop.

Plan is to hopefully get it in the car tomorrow.

Guy at CPL Racing told me to bin the cat off the car so I decided to get Vocky to weld a small silencer in there instead (every little helps right?!)

Come to think, this whole rebuild starting with some braking problems at Zandvoort 2015.

1 year later, and 0 miles done, it´s being prepped for Zandvoort 2016.
