the maximum torque on that graph is only 240lb

As I'm looking at changing my exhaust I have found a nice comparison graph on a ep3 with a standard engine running either 2.5" exhaust or 3" and you can clearly see the gains below!

It's not just torque that causes torque steer, power counts also. Cars can still be rapid with little torque depending on the gearing.

Remember guys this is on a standard engine whereas mine isn't...

So if I can get 20bhp more then I defo think it's worthwhile :)

I fail to see how a 2.5" exhaust can cause an 8Hp restriction on a meazle 220hp engine, (and then the restriction issues will show up more in high rev area.)

Think this has more to do with a scavenging pulse length effect of the different 3" exhaust... :sleep:

I'm surpised it adds the same low down as it does up top tbh Could only find a couple of comparison graphs not many people try both! The 2.5 will defo be better for sound and I could reuse my 2bular backbox then Ahhh choices.... life is hard :lol:

Screw it im listening to the sound police and going 2.5" and will just take he telling off from cpl racing when I get it mapped :lol: Now I just need to see some bits out the garage or rob some grannies to pay for it :lol: Keep my standard backbox or buy a new repackable one.... hmmmmmnnmmmm

Cpl racing doesn't sell exhausts for Lotus's so is unbiased
