Looks good, hope you soaked it in water first or wore a mask if you did it indoors.

well gearbox came out the other day

Posted Image

evil fecking thing getting that out. But Vocky has almost rebuilt it all, so new synchros, bearings, seals, quaife lsd, JDM 4/5/6 gear. Unfortunately had a couple of delays, my Honda rebuild kit didnt come with any diff bearings (i should have checked..) so they are on order from CPL racing. Also the gears i bought of a honda forum where slightly incorrect. 4th and 5th where correct however 6th gear was not. So quick call to Back On Track and Jez happened to have a brand new 6th JDM gear and synchro so just waiting for that and the diff bearings to turn up and all will be back together... Ready for the bitch of a job getting the gearbox/engine back in.

Also going to redesign my bulkhead whilst engine is out, cutting the bulkhead gave me about 40mm extra room in the engine bay which was essential for the RRC intake manifold, however it is still very close and i had a issue with the wiring on the throttle body breaking as that is extremely close to the bulkhead. So going to recess it into the cabin.

How many miles roughly do you drive the car per year Joe? Is it road legal BTW ?

so anyway.. in true joe fashion i cut the hell out of that super rare brand new bulkhead

Posted Image

just need to cover the 2 rectangle holes with carbon fibre once its all fitted properly. This makes the bulkhead sit very close to the harness bar so no extra space can be gained now. So hopefully this will be enough space!!

My DEI heat wrap finally arrived

Also vocky tells me that my gearbox is now ready to chuck back in

So the new gearbox has:

All new seals, bearings, synchros, replaced 4th, 5th and 6th gear with JDM gears for slightly quicker acceleration however i rarely get into 5th  Whilst it was all out a quaife LSD went in!

just need to get it back in the car now but vocky has man flu

Also once the engine is back in i get to see if the new ITG enclosed air filter will fit!
